This new, three-hour Developing U training course will provide supervisors and managers with the tools to challenge unconscious bias, prevent microaggressions and close in on the hidden barriers that stand in the way of inclusion and equity. This course is for Supervisors/Managers only. 

Course Objectives  

  • What is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and identify its benefits in the workplace
  • Discuss how experience and knowledge create awareness and impact bias
  • Analyze inequity, including where it stems from and why it persists
  • Explain misalignment and why it’s the number one cause of communication breakdowns
  • Discuss when preferential treatment occurs in the workplace and how to stop it
  • Examine the impact of microaggressions and improve actionable awareness

The course is scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm via the virtual platform, Zoom.
