This introductory course is designed for individuals who seek a better understanding of what Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is and how it is being deployed in the federal workplace. Using real world examples participants will learn the process used to identify tasks for automation and the means by which government agencies implement RPA. Through videos, small group break-out sessions, and a RPA bot demonstration, participants will become familiar with the possibilities RPA offers, how they can contribute to their agency’s efforts, and how RPA can advance their careers. The course will also introduce intelligent solutions and other emerging technologies.

Training Objective:

  • Describe what RPA is and identify the fundamental capabilities, benefits, and risks of RPA
  • Identify how RPA is being utilized by federal government agencies and organizations
  • Define and use criteria for identifying RPA opportunities
  • Describe how to build and manage RPA programs within the federal government
  • Explain how RPA impacts you as a federal employee and the opportunity it represents
  • Describe how to expand the benefits of RPA by combining it with artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies
